THERMAL EXPANSION TANK
SPECIFICATIONS
DESCRIPTION
Our Thermal Expansion Tanks feature an FDA Grade liner, a fixed butyl rubber diaphragm and are pre-charged at the factory with 50 PSI. The tanks are designed to absorb heated water as it expands in the system. The tank protects the plumbing system by allowing the expanded water to enter the tank, thereby relieving pressure on the piping of the system. When water enters the tank, it is contained inside an FDA-Grade polypropylene liner, thus protecting the water from coming into contact with the steel of the tank. This helps keep the water potable and protects the tank from corrosion.
